Midnight Madness 3 on 3 Basketball

With the support of Monroe City, we are ready to get this show on the road. Please understand that due to COVID-19 circumstances, we will not be ordering shirts this year. Registration will be cheaper. This decision was made in case the state, or our county, goes to the orange (or moderate) phase. The guidelines in place for that phase would disable us to host this event and debt in shirts would sink us. All money will be refunded if that is the case.

Registration will be more money the night of play at the table - we are trying to keep social distancing measures in place and ask that you get registered to avoid large crowds in line at the table.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNING COVID 19

Participants will undergo a temperature and symptom screening check prior to event during the check in process. If any player has any of the following symptomes, he/she will not be allowed to participate and will be asked to leave:

Fever of 100.4 F or above
Cough (new, undiagnosed cough)
Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
Sore throat
Sudden change in taste or smell
Muscle aches or pains

Further measures for safety will be in place such as hand sanitizing after games and social distancing measures should be followed. Spectators should set up chairs to keep social distancing measures in place.

Sponsors and event facilitators will receive a shirt.

Get your teams, and get registered! Let the madness begin!!

Monroe City low risk (Yellow) phase guidelines

On May 15, 2020 Governor Herbert announced that much of the state would move from a moderate-risk phase (orange) to a low-risk phase (yellow). With this move groups of 50 or fewer are allowed with social distancing, sport competitions and practice with symptom check in place, and group events with 6-foot distance between household groups. Again, please keep in mind while moving from moderate risk to low risk it does not mean business as usual. We still need to work together, and all do our own part to make sure we continue trending in a good direction in the fight against COVID-19.

The Library has resumed their normal hours of Tuesday -Saturday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm with a limit of 10 patrons in the library at a time

White's Sanitation as returned to picking up gargage on their normal basis. If you no longer need the additional trash cart you order to accomodate their limited service please call the city office  and we will notify White's Sanitation to have it picked up.

Monroe City had planned on opening the splash pad on Memorial Day weekend if possible. Even though we are in a low risk phase (yellow) the requirements set by the health department to open the splash pad are not something the City can manage. The splash pad will be open as soon as we go into a new normal risk phase (green).
