NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION PETERSON/HOLGATE

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
 
A petition for annexation has been filed in the office of the Monroe City Recorder for the purpose of requesting annexation of a parcel of land belonging to Jared Peterson and Donald and Val Jean Holgate Family Trust for .808 acres for each owner, more or less, of property located at approximately 500 North between 2nd East and 3rd East, more specifically described as follows:
 
PARCEL 5-26-43, PETERSON PARCEL LESS 500 NORTHBEGINNING AT THE CENTER QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION 10,
TOWNSHIP 25 SOUTH, RANGE 3 WEST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN ;

FT. TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.  HAVING AN AREA OF 0.808 ACRES.

BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE QUARTER SECTION LINE, SAID POINT  LIES

THE CENTER QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP 25

THENCE N 89°39'14" W ALONG THE QUARTER SECTION LINE A DISTANCE OF 217.63
FT. TO THE EASTERLY LINE OF 200 EAST STREET;

HAVING AN AREA OF 0.808 ACRES.
Notice of certification was received by the Monroe City Council on August 8, 2016.The complete annexation petition is available for inspection and copying at the office of the Monroe City Recorder, 10 North Main, Monroe, UT 84754, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
 
Monroe City may grant the petition and annex the area described in the petition unless a written protest to the annexation is filed with the Boundary Commission at 250 North Main, Richfield, Utah 84701, and a copy of the protest delivered to the Monroe City Recorder by September 1, 2016.   A protest to the annexation petition may be filed by the legislative body or the governing board of an affected entity. The protest period will be 30 days from the date of certification and will end September 1, 2016.
